Hi everybody! Just a friendly reminder that as you’ve probably noticed I don’t post on here nearly as often as I should, so if there is anything that you’d like to see, feel free to drop me a message :)

lovely-inspiring asked: Both ways are correct. In gaelic the c sounds like k but in most places today c have a soft s sound. So it just depends on whether you want to pronounce it the modern way or the old way.

Anonymous asked: From what I know it's simply a matter of preference between soft c and hard c. Back in Victorian times the soft c was more in vogue, and is still used for the basketball, but nowadays the hard c is more common.

Anonymous asked: Is it okay to pronounce celtic with a soft c if refering to the culture?I read somewhere that it is the english version of it,so it is not wrong.I said "seltic woman" once and a friend said it was wrong and rude to pronounce it like that

Anonymous asked: Hi, folklorist here. Regarding your last ask, mythology is in fact a technical term referring to the tales told of a religious nature typically pertaining the origins of the world. Not just bedtime stories.

Anonymous asked: Good day, I have a report, it's all about Celtic Mythology. I have researched on this already but it's all confusing. Can you please help me on an introduction about Celtic Mythology please?

bledri asked: Yes actually stonehenge most likely was a center for learning and in turn druids most likely visited there often from their home in Yns Mon. If someone wants to question my heritage they can do it on my ask instead of tormenting the owner of this blog. Thank you.

Anonymous asked: 'Not Pagan, it was a center for the Druids.' SO much confusion here. Do people think that the Druids were Roman Catholic priests or something? LOL! THE DRUIDS WERE PAGAN PRIESTS, THE PRE-CHRISTIAN RELIGIONS OF EUROPE WERE ALL 'PAGAN'. They were polytheistic and/or animistic, nature-based religions, WHATEVER form they took, hence all 'Pagan'. This is not difficult....

bledri asked: As a celt myself (100% welsh/irish, living in wales etc.) NOTHING suggests that Stonehenge is pagan. If anything it was a center for the druids. Unlike most wiccans/pagans, druids were more than just priests. They were doctors, advisers to nobility and scholars (that's why the Romans were scared of them). Can that pagan please shut the hell up? Jesus Christ. Oh and thanks owner, you're a...

golgothacommunicationsltd asked: Surely those of you who have any real interest in ancient cultures and/or religions MUST know that the pre-christian Celts, like ALL pre-christian European cultures, were 'Pagan'? That is, they worshiped a pantheon, consisting of multiple Gods? This is really basic stuff. The anon who got 'offended' by the Stonehenge remark is not only WAY too sensitive, but incredibly...

Anonymous asked: A lot of these anons seem to be suffering from some very deep confusion about the meaning of the term 'Pagan'. 'Paganism' isn't a single dogmatic religion, like the one that most of you were probably raised in(the source of the confusion), rather it is an umbrella term used to refer to *all* non Judeo-Christian, polytheistic belief systems, from the pre-Christian religions...

Anonymous asked: Pagan is a blanket term for non-Christian religions. To claim that one's religion is paganism is an ignorance in itself. Such a claim basically undermines any credibility a person had hoped to have. That anon needs to pull back and rethink their spirituality and world view.

Anonymous asked: Seeing as that part of Britain was inhabited by the Pre-Celts (i.e. people whose culture developed into what we know as Celtic culture) at the time at which stone henge was built, it is safe to say it is Pre-Celtic if anything. It is a Celtic/Pre-Celtic henge design and resembles Celtic and Pre-Celtic megalithic and wooden monuments. Self professed 'pagans' have appropriated the site but...

boudiccandestruction asked: Loling at that anon. Stonehenge isn't pagan, the only thing we can say about stonehenge is that it's Neolithic, and that any religion practiced back then that claims to be practiced now will be incredibly warped by now and probably unrecognisable from the original. Also, I lol that so many people collect at stonehenge for the wrong solstice.

Anonymous asked: Excuse me, I think you'll find that Stone Henge is NOT Celtic, it is Pagan. I am Pagan and that is offensive to me. You are such a hypocrite.
